Biography Fair
This week we were able to visit the fifth grade's Biography Fair. Each fifth grader had created a poster of information about a different person and was also dressed in character for the event. The first graders collected autographs and pictures with the "famous" people. It was a great event.

More Google!
Today we worked in Google to create presentations about polygons. Each student was able to create a new presentation, make new slides and add digital pictures of polygons to their slides.

We continue to look at various shapes and their properties. Students have been working using a variety of polygons within various math stations and games.

Geoboard Polygons
Read Across America Day: Dr. Seuss
We had a fabulous time last Friday! We enjoyed a delicious green egg and ham snack, toured the school which was decorated with various Dr. Seuss books, and celebrated reading in the afternoon with various classrooms. A HUGE thank you to all of the families that helped make our classroom look so fantastic. The students really enjoyed enter a world of "Green Eggs and Ham"! It truly was a magical day!
Penguin Word Problems
Students wrote penguins word problems and later, spent time solving problems their peers had created.
Penguin Reports
Students worked on their Google Drive to create a presentation about a penguin. When they finished, each student presented their slideshow to their peers.

Penguin Studies
