It sure has been warm these first weeks of school, but I think everyone has enjoyed being reunited with their friends as well as making new friends along the way.

New Year Under Way!
The first week has come and gone. I can't believe it. Our new first graders did a great job getting to know new faces, new classroom expectations and reviewed school-wide expectations wonderfully. I have taken plenty of pictures already, but am waiting on a few parent permissions before I can post them here. Hopefully, within the next week we will be all set and ready to share some of our fun with you.
There was a permission slip sent home on Friday for students to complete in order for them to go to the Tunbridge Fair with us on Thursday, Sept. 17th. Permission slips are due back by this Friday, Sept. 11th.
School Supplies: We have had several donations for school supplies this year. Thank you to all who have donated. If you haven't purchased anything yet, we should be all set. The only things I still need for your child is a white t-shirt (that can be tie-dyed) and a coffee mug (this will be returned to you at the end of the school year).
As always, if you have any questions, please email me: raneyn@hartfordschools.net

Ready or Not, Here We Go!!!!
Today was our last in-service day before students arrive on Monday. It has been a very busy summer with moving classrooms, learning a new piece to our math curriculum, developing science units as well as being Mommy to my two little girls and making many family memories along the way.
While there are a few finishing touches left to do this weekend, overall the classroom is ready and I am eager to meet my new students and begin our school year together! I can't wait to see you all on Monday. Until then, I'll leave you with a sneak peak of the classroom!

Field Day Fun
Today was a great day! A huge thank you goes out to all of the volunteers who helped make this day possible and to all of my students who demonstrated the highest CSR behavior during Field Day. It was a blast!!

End of Year Projects
As our school year comes to an end, each student has been working hard on their End-Of-The-Year Google Presentation for the class. Everyone created a presentation reflecting on things they learned, memories they have and something they will miss. Today we shared most of those presentations with each other. We will finish sharing our presentations tomorrow. If you would like to take a look at the hard work they have done, please follow the link below:
