Hot Cocoa Please

We were able to enjoy another Relax Reading this Friday afternoon. This was extra enjoyable this week, as students had just come inside from enjoying PE down the bike path. 

We are completely out of hot chocolate. We would love donations of any kind, large tubs or individual packets, either work just fine.

Kindness Matters

Students create Kindess Matters posters in support of National School Counselors' Week and the Great Kindness Challenge!

The Great Kindness Challenge

As a part of School Counselor's Week we are taking the challenge to spread kindness throughout our school and community. Today we had an All-School Assembly to kick start this challenge.

Digital Pictures

Last week, students created digital pictures of themselves preparing for a trip to Antarctica. Then they uploaded these pictures to our Padlet wall online. Check it out by clicking the link below:

Rocky The Penguin!

Over the next month or so, each student will be able to take Rocky the Rockhopper Penguin (a stuffed animal) home with them for the night. On the night they bring Rocky home, each student is required to write about something they do with Rocky as well as create a picture. Students are asked to return Rocky the next day, as he will move on to another child's home each night. If you would like to take digital pictures with Rocky, we'd love for you to share them with us! Each morning, we hope to review Rocky's adventures with the class. You can also follow Rocky's adventures on our twitter feed, located on the right-hand column of our blog!

This week we began our Penguin Unit. It has taken over all areas of our learning and I'm sure you will be hearing about and learning more about penguins than you ever thought imaginable.
