This week began our journey to the Southern Hemisphere and our study of penguins! First graders were excited to see the many changes in our classroom. We begin this unit by taking a close look at where in the world penguins live. Although many penguins live in cold places, first graders were surprised to hear some penguins live in the hottest places on Earth too. The first stop for us is Antarctica. This week we learned about Antarctica and created letters to home. Those will be posted shortly!
