Icky, Sticky, Moon!

Today each student (yes, all 17 of them) created a paper mache moon in class. Wow! This project was definitely interesting. I expected the mess and the chaos of it all, what I didn't anticipate was how many students didn't want to get "dirty". Many were very apprehensive to getting the water/flour mixture on their hands! It was quite funny to see. However, after a few minutes to adjust to the texture, everyone was able to dive right in. Their creations will dry over night, and tomorrow we will hopefully begin painting our moons.

After some hard work making a mess, we had to work extra hard to clean it up :-)

I hope they all turn out okay! We'll have to wait and see :-)

  1. Solly came home saying it was a fun and messy project, and he is cuirous how the craters will be made on their moon creations.
